I am hoping someone can help me. I just noticed this am that my 2 yr old daughter had 3 HUGE mosquito bites on her back. (First Ones ever) I know she got them last night outside. And also noticed a type of viral looking rash on her neck and chest before this, this morning. And when i looked at her back I noticed that about 3/4 of her spinal cord is yellow. It is not a bruise,It is just yellow. A few days ago she told me her back hurt and I didn't know why. Could this be related? I made an appt today for her. Not till this afternoon. Her RN said before because she is always itchy everywhere that it could be related to a liver problem. Now the yellow color has me worried. My uncle has Has Hep C. I don't know if your born with it or you get it. I don't know how that works.
Thanks

I hope everything is OK with your DD. Please post to let us know how the appt. goes. Sorry that I don't have any advice.

I just got back from the dr. He said the bites are probably from sand fleas. And the yellow is probably from leaning on something or from scratching. Which makes no sense. But he pushed on it and it went away. And even in the room there you couldn't see it to much like outside. and she also had the marks from her dress imprinted. Because as soon as we walked in there they called us right in. So no time for the imprint to go away.

Glad to hear that everything seemed fine.
Did the bumps she had look kind of like mosquito bites but with a tiny hard spot in the middle? My friends DD gets these all the time and they have no idea where they are from. She does play in the sand at the park a lot. Just wondering about the sand fleas.

Last night they got much worse and she had a fever of 101. They were very swollen and very red. Now they are looking better still swollen but not as red,she also has more of that rash on her chest. It looks like a viral rash she used to get before when she was sick. I have been giving her an aveeno bath daily and putting aquaphor on it and gave her some zyrtec last night. She just started getting itchy again tonite. She hasn't scratched it since either yesterday morning or monday night. She is still running atemp of 100-101. but acting ok. Just see how it goes.
Thanks
