I had gastric bypass just over a year ago. I need to find private health insurance that will cover me. I know that some insurance companies will not offer coverage if you have had this surgery, does anyone know of a good way to find one that will cover me, or a place I can find out if this restriction from coverage goes away after a specific time frame?

And yes, I know I can go to Blue Cross, but they are way more expensive than private insurance.

If it matters, I'm looking to set up a high deductable policy with a HSA.
