View Full Version : Do Lazy Eyes return?

Hey guys, I've had surgery to correct my left lazy eye when I was 2 years old.

My eye was perfect up untill 3-4 years ago and it started turning outwards.

Guys, is this normal, and if I would get surgery to fix this, will it screw up my current vision and make me see double?

It's very common for a straightened eye to drift again with time. Many strab patients have had the operation more than once.
Before surgery, your PO should test you with prisms to ensure that realigning the eye doesn't cause double vision. I believe this is standard procedure.

kk, thanks for your support.

umm... I havent seen my optamologist (sp??) since I was 6 or 7 and im 17 now.

I regularly see an optomatrist though and she has put prisms in my glasses cause my eyes are majorly screwy...

I'd say it was time to revisit your ophthalmologist. Strabismus is a lifelong condition.
