Just wondering if anyone that is in Menapause now ever had the Pre-menapause migraines? I started having them about 3 years ago and my periods became different. More often and heavier. I was wondering if when your periods stopped if the headaches stopped. The Dr has said the headaches are from my hormones dropping. Also it's good to be able to read some of you are going through some of the same stuff I have. It make you feel less crazy. :bouncing:

Recently I've been getting migraines which is quite unusual for me. I read that declining estrogen can trigger these migraines. I woke up with a migraine last week Thursday which subsided when my period started that afternoon. My sister is also dealing with the same thing. You are definitely not alone...I pray that we all get relief from these hormonal symptoms :).

I have a history of migraines over the past several years (I'm 47). I rarely experienced them more than two or three times a year though. About three years ago my extremely irregular periods (sometimes I would go two years without one and couldn't get pregnant without fertility drugs) suddenly became regular and heavier. I now get migraines almost every month about a week or two before my period. Sometimes my periods are heavier now and sometimes lighter. They are also now coming about a week early. Not fun, huh? But at least we're not alone!
