I have found a direct correlation between my adrenal exhaustion and my diet, this based on some research I've done and have personally experienced vast differences in my own health and energy and well being.
For the most part i need to stay away from simple carbs and caffeine, eat small regular meals with good protein at each meals and avoid non-alkaline foods such as dairy and peanuts, etc. I also take a small portion of protein before bed which helps me sleep through the night and not have these wake-ups around 1 to 3 am for hours. Magnesium citrate and vit. C has also helped me too with aleviating stress....i take them daily.
