View Full Version : Hearth palpitations?

Hi:

I am awakened four out of seven days a week in the early morning with a flutter in my chest (feels like a quickly vibrating nerve). Generally last for a a minute or two. My pulse seems elevated when this occurs. I can sometimes get it to stop with a deep breath. I have had recent EKG and stress test with results coming back fine.

I am on Nexium for GERD and thought the sensation may be esophogeal spasms but unclear.

Does this seem like palpitations?

Thanks.

Could be palpitations. Ask your doctor to put you on a 24 hour heart monitor.

I have the same feeling as you and have had an EKG test also. Doctors said that my heart is perfectly normal but it doesn't feel normal

I've finally decided that 90% of doctors are morons. After one test most of them are so sure that everything is fine. They told me everything was fine when I had a fluttering feeling in my chest for months and now I have heart failure symptoms. Then you tell your friends/parents and they end up thinking you're crazy.

Which positon are you laying in when you wake up and experience flutters? I noticed that if I wake up on my left side my heart feels like it's doing goofy things, so I try to lay on my back or right side. I don't know what causes it, so I just do what works for me to prevent it.
