For the past two days, I have been having lymph node pain. Its occurring at my armpit and my groin area, both on the left side.
My question is, could it be that my body is just fighting off an infection? or would this signal something serious? I googled it and all I got was cancer articles. (eek!)
I'll go to the dr if it lasts another couple days, but, since its Friday, I can't do anything until monday but worry.

hi, i wouldnt worry to much sounds like a possible infection,my lymph node under my armpit has been tender for a while due to a infected finger.any viral infection can cause it, there the infection filters, may sound like a odd question, do you play rough with cats or kittens "scratches" i know its a odd ? but people generally over look cat scratch fever although other symptoms accompy.i wouldnt do any more surfing, it only causes worry.see what the dr says it it still persist, may only be muscle soreness??

I haven't been around cats in some months, so that can't be it.
The weather has been kind of strange here (warm, cold, warm) so maybe I am just fighting a bug.
thanks

under the arm could even be a clogged pore from antiperspirants. the fact that its in more than one place warrants checking it out. Some viral infections can be in lymph nodes. Try not to think and call for an appt first thing money, worrying about it doesn't help.

I got that lymph node arm pit pain, freaked me out, but it turned to be some auto immune reaction to infection. I am ok, but it did make nervous cause my nodes in my arm pit were huge and painful!
