Hi, I am pretty new to these boards. I am 46. I have been really working on my health since last July. I have dieted and excercised like crazy, and dropped 80 lbs. I dropped down to 160 and then got stuck, my period has been irregular and I have been having pre menopause symptoms for almost three years. My period dissapeared in January. I was starting to bloat, jumped up to 174, and my ObGyn put me on Provera for ten days to get my period going again. It worked, and I dropped 14 pounds in the space of 3 days. (thats alot of water  ) My ObGyn just says that happens. They put me on Loestrin24, and that really seems to be smoothing out my other issues, but I am bloating up again with water. When I called the Dr. Office they basically said "that happens" and to try drinking lemon water. Tried that but no luck I am still puffy and retaining water like crazy. I have only been on the Loestrin24 for a week. What now? Any suggestions.

Congratuations on the weight loss! That is awesome! A natural diuretic is Vitamin B6. I would try it and see how it works for you. I have used it and it did work quite well for me, and it doesn't make you feel bad like prescription fluid pills. I think 50mg would be strong enough, if not - you could try taking two.

Hopefully

I recently found that black cherry juice works as a natural diuretic for me. I bought the concentrated black cherry juice from the health food store and mix one part juice to five part water.

BTW congrats on the weight loss!!!!!!! Please share with us what you did that provided success since so many of us are trying to get rid of these extra peri/meno weight. Reading your post has motivated me :bouncing:.

Thanks :)
