For almost a month now I have had dry hacking coughs. It started with a sore throat and with chills and the usual kind of cold symptons but then the sore thrat went away and I kept on coughing. Every once and while I will get the sore throat and get the chills and what not but now I usually just cough.
I have dry hacking coughs with alot of phlem, and sometimes it seems like I can hear my lungs wheez. It feels like I have a alot of fluid in my chest and occaionally I will get pains in my chest and lower ribs.
I see my doctor on the 7nth but wondered if anyone had had something like this before?

I don't smoke.
I have had some allergies but nothing like this before had happned to me.
I had thought about allergies. I used to get hacking coughs and I would use flonase and all would be fine, but this isn't like that .
I take my flonase and I not overly congested or anything.
I thought maybe it might be bronchitis, but I have never had so I don't really know what it is like.

It could be LPR, laryngopharyngeal reflux - it causes chronic cough. It's a form of acid reflux. See the acid reflux message board here at healthboards for more info.
