Hi all..
I was wondering if anyone could help me answer a few questions based on your own experiences...
This is the first month we are TTC, my periods flucuate between 28-32 days, my last 2 were 32 days, the 2 before that were 28 days.
If your last period was 32 days, do you ovulate on day 16?
Is it half the time?
How long does the fertile time last? And can you be fertile more that once a month??
We started the BD on day 13 and did it all the way through yesterday, day 19, however I have absolutely no idea when I ovulated during this time, and I did not notice the change in discharge... does that mean anything?
How soon before I can take a test? I know some of the tests say up to 4 days before you are expecting your period, but I don't know when 4 days before should be? I want to test now!! This is so nerve racking!!!
Thanks for any info!
and I love the saying I've been reading... BABY DUST TO EVERYONE!!

hi there,
this is a difficult one as not everyone ovulates bang on half way through their cycle, my best advice would be to count 12 days from the first day of your last period and BD all the way through to the 17th or 18th day, that way you're ensuring theres sperm there right through the middle section of your cycle when you are most likely to release an egg, whenever that might be! ovulation testing kits and charting your temp can help find out when the best days are. You're normally only fertile when you release an egg, the egg can only live for 24 hours but sperm can live up to 5 days, thats why its best to BD earlier on in the cycle rather than later.
and as for taking a test i would wait until at least the day your period is due to avoid getting a false negative by testing too early. although i know its hard to resist the urge to test asap!!
Hope this helps!
baby dust to you!
