The people on this board seem to have all varieties of symptoms. What I had (and still have) is very different from yours but only a physician can rule MS either in or out. They will perform a wide variety of testing both invasive and non-invasive to get your diagnosis.
When do you expect to see the neurologist? Does he deal with a lot of MS cases? Try to find out from an MS group near you what they think of him. My first neurologist stuck tiny needles in my shoulders and told me I had carpal tunnel syndrome! I couldn't walk across a room but he conveniently ignored that! You have to fight for your care sometimes. Will you be going to the same doctor as your Mom? Is she satisfied with her care?
Best of luck to you, we certainly can't diagnose but are happy to listen and offer our stories.
