got tested last year 05 and year before 04 and was negative test was an elisa done by quest diagnostic labs i think they are reliable.but anyway first test was done 4.5 years after possible exposure and my wife now got tested in 04 and 05 as well both - we have been together since 2002 and we used protection the first 2 months we were together after that we used none .the thing is , is that i`m having alot of symptoms and i will list them here dry mouth,some fatigue, wake up sweating at night and it`s usually only my head which is weird,glands hurt under my jaw when i eat something ,i have weird little redish dot`s under my skin which my doctor asked if i ever have had any bleeding problems and i haven`t and there are a few others such as dirrehea from time to time.i have told my doctor about all of these symptoms and he said none of it is related to hiv i wanted to get tested again this year but he said it was not necesary after i have had two negative tests 4.5 years after possible exposure. not sure what to do can anyone recommend any advice.the reason i got tested my ex-wife had slept with someone possibly with hiv in 1991 and she got real sick in1997 they found out she had lupus
and they even tested her hiv and it was - but i have been told don`t no if it true that people can have hiv and lupus but hiv might not show up .anyway just asking for adice.sorry for long post
