Are you applying for ssi or ssd? Sounds like ssi, approved for medical, now they see if you fit the criteria finacially..ie..owned properties, life ins, any rentals..etc.. for ssi one must be under a certain amount to qualify, ssd does not do that.
I am on ssd , so Im not sure of ssi requirements, but I have read only 2000.00 in assets.

ssd was rejected for ssi you sign up for both.Had abrain tumor removed in Feb had some short term memory loss etc am doing chemo 3rd out of 6 yesterday tumor was completed removed had radation to keep from returning said it came from some where else no other found the reason for chemo.No clue as to ssd non medical requirement.

If it's SSD, they are checking to make sure that you have enough work credits.

They are probably checking to be sure that you have enough work credits and then they'll figure out how much you are eligible for based on quarterly earnings. That's great news that you were approved on the medical but sorry to hear you are sick. Let us know how it goes!

have way over credits needed and they told me the amount i would get the day i did the telephone interview Don't have a clue, said they would make the desision soon and i would get a letter and would have 60 days to appleal

It's my understanding that the medical condition does fit all the requirments by SSDI to consider your request for SSDI. Now they are reviewing to determine whether the condition would limit your ability to perform your former job or any other job you may have done in previous years. Or if your condition would limit you from doing any functual job. They base their decision also on your age and if you could possibly be able to perform a job with retraining.

Got it was in bank account last week no paper work yet.
