Im 34yrs old.. about 3months ago I started with low back pain that went into my hip, in my thigh with burning sensation then pain would go int my knee went to doc had mri,,said herniated disc..should go to therapy,, then I started feeling lightheaded, but it would come and go all day long lasting only for a few seconds,, then started having kinda like pins and needles feeliing in arms but more like they were tied up in knots. then started having twitching in feet and the feeling like i wanted to keep moving my legs at nite.. then I would get twitching in thumbs off and on. then headaches and sinus pain,, and felt like I had tmj.. I keep forgetting things and feel out of it,, I am so tired all the time and sometimes just feel like I cant go on. Somedays I have feeling like something is crawling up my legs and nothing is there.. Had blood work and all came back fine,, nuerologist did some tests like poked me with pins and twisted me in different positions and said all was normal,, normal emg,, having mri of brain tommorrow.. doc says he may find some small white lesions on test but not to worry, he doesnt think I have ms.. but im thinking I might have that,, the pain in my hip and knee keeps me up at nite, doc says maybe arthritis since he saw some in my back on mri.. I get wierd feeling when i sleep or at least try to sleep at nite, feels like chills down my spine but very painful.. not sure if it is like that feeling people get with ms or not. I just want some answers to what is wrong with me before I go insane!! can anyone help,, does anyone think maybe ms or something else.. oh lyme test was negative. maybe fibromyalgia?????

It could be possible that you may have Fibromyalgia. Alot of those syptoms mimic MS syptoms. I'd go in to see your GP and have him check you out for that. I have both MS and Fibro and it's confusing at times to tell which one is picking on me on that day.
Good luck, and I hope you get to feeling better.

annieloo, that low-back-hip-thigh-knee pain you describe sounds exactly like the "sciatica" I had several years ago. It not only kept me awake, it would wake me in the middle of the night. It was horrible, and though it started on one side it grew to affect both sides. I was in excruciating pain for several months. Went to PT and chiropractor, no relief. It ended pretty suddenly, and though it still bothers me sometimes it is nowhere near as bad as it was.
When I had that severe bout, no one did xrays or MRIs or any other tests to check for what was aggravating my sciatic nerve. Last year I had MRI of full spine, no disc problems, no compression - nothing. My neuro agreed when I suggested that earlier bout of "sciatica" was probably MS-related.
On the other hand, there were some posts on this board a couple of months ago about an often overlooked cause of sciatic pain. As I recall it had to do with certain muscles (usually in athletic people) compressing the sciatic nerve.
But you have other sx as well. I don't know much about fibro, but it's certainly worth pursuing.
Hang in there, getting answers can take a long time, but you are worth the effort!

I thought the same thing about the sciatica but doc says no because my emg of legs were normal.. I did have brain mri yesterday,, so waiting to hear results from that...
Thanks for all the help!! I know finding out what is wrong can take time, its just frustrating to wait! Thanks again, Annieloo
