Hi all...
I'm having a pretty rough day today. Woke up with low back pain and progressed to full blown spasm that hasn't relented as of yet.I'd give the Notre Dame hunchback a run for his money today, lol.
I've been given a undiagnosis of "possible MS". I've been going through a myriad of symptoms for 3-4 years now. I'll describe my attacks and see if any of you diagnosed expereince similiar episodes:
First I'll have some lightheadedness for a few days, off and on; random intense pains, never lasting more than a few seconds, but again, off and on; sore and achy muscles, all over, like I've worked out in a gym all day..LOL, definitely not the case; tingling pains in my arms, hands and feet; and then finally muscle spasms. Sometimes it takes a few days for the spasms to release.
I've read enough to know that MS is different for everyone, but there still seems to be some distinct similarities. What do you guys think? I'm in a perpetual limbo game as are so many others here and find myself thinking, "if not MS, then what? Seems I've been ruled out on just about every other known offender. The weird thing is, on "good days" I convince myself that its just stress or aging (i'm 35), but on days like this, I KNOW its MS!
Thanks for reading my vent and God bless!

Millsc,
Radicular back pain is what sent me on this diagnostic quest.I have had 2 previous lumbar surgeries and 18 months ago, wham it was relentless. After seeing some of the top neurosurgeons in the country,it was ruled not the back. This went from radicular pain to chronic muscle spasms, some what controlled by meds. From their I went into a full blown attack, complete right side numbness twice.I have tingling, off balance ,blured vision. With ms everyones symptoms are different and it can take years for some to get a diagnosis.Hang in there.

Thanks guys..
Lately while sleeping, I awaken at about 2 am, can't get back to sleep for nothing. I also notice more muscle twitches and pains at this time. Last night, I expereinced this weird sensation through my left hip and down the left leg- it felt like a cold tingling that rushed down my leg. Anyone have anything like this?
I want to properly convey to the Dr. what I'm expereincing, but often don't know what the correct terminology for specific symptoms are.
Thanks again for the replies, and God bless!

Nuffs3:
Exactly! An icy electrical shock, that's it. Do you know the correct medical word for these type sensations? I'm trying to keep a log for the dr.; I keep thinking that if I write everything down that one day there will be an "A-HA" moment.
Best of luck with your treatment. God Bless!
