Having a tough time getting sleep.. I'm able to breathe in and out of my nose but I'm experiencing alot of post nasal drip which is waking me up after only sleeping for a few mintues.. It's almost like a faucet is running at the back of my throat? Gross! What gives?? Even if I'm sitting up in bed and sleeping.. I still can't get any relief from the post nasal drip. If this is a permanet situation.. good God.. I made a big mistake.. I'm having tough time drinking the cold water.. hurts so much to drink it..but I'm able to force some down.. I'm on Tylenol with Codeine. Will go on Vicoden maybe later this week.. Any suggestions? Thanks..

I had the same problem with PND, it did go away after awhile.

Also, I too had problems drinking or eating anything cold, I survived on room temp apple juice and Gatorade for the first 10 days. Anything cold would cause shooting pains in my ears. On day 10 or 11 I was able to start drinking and eating cold things without pain.

Yeah the nasal drip is clearing up nicely now. I'm able to sleep thru the night. Starting to feel pain in the ear areas and back of throat. Coughing lightly at times. Any info on when I should get a BM? :eek: lol.. I had one last Monday, June 5, but haven't had one since. When do I start to worry? Thanks.

I am still having some drip, feels like constant snot in my mouth (sorry that is gross I know!) I have gone ahead & taken some sudafed at a low dose & it seems to be helping. That was the biggest thing that bothered me right after surgery was feeling like I was clogged.

I don't know if it was me increasing the tylenol w/ codeine intake to 2 tablets or the fact that I was further along with the recovery but the nasal drip has almost completely vanished.. Now I'm getting anxious about the stage II pain.. My throat is getting slightly itchy, and developing slight cough.. I switched over to Vicoden.... Anyone have info on when I should get my first post OP BM? Its been 5 days now..
