anxiety and paranoia go hand in hand. A suggestion would be to go see a doctor
take care trg247 Jennita 06-11-2006, 01:28 AM
Hopefully, you are not on any drugs or medications that could be causing this way of thinking, otherwise, best to reconsider using such things. This would include such claimed "innoncents" like pot, antidepressants, or ADD meds. I knew of a woman who became bi-polar after being on a strong diet pill!
Are you or have you been abused in any way, traumatized or threatened? Lots of things could be causing this. It does sound a bit like bi-polar with the energy levels/low levels but I am not a doctor so I can't say for sure. Could even be something like OCD. michelle-manson 06-11-2006, 12:29 PM

My suggestion - See a few board certified Psychiatrists. Make sure they are board certified because a lot of them are not. Also it helps that the psychiatrist was an instructor at one time meaning they should know their stuff well. Get some different opinions and make sure they wanna hear what ya have to say or else skip and go to the next guy.
When I read your post these are the problems that came to mind: Intense drug abuse or withdrawel symptoms from stopping drugs. Severe Bipolar or Schizoaffective disorder. Schizophrenia. Psychotic depression. Now be careful and good luck. Take good care of yourself ok. Let us know if you went to see a psychiatrist. ihaveverything 06-12-2006, 01:37 PM

You didn't mention if you've been a victim of any sort of abuse or trauma. But the fact you don't eat right is important and you must change that because foods, proteins and carbs with vitamin assistance is what the body uses to create our vital neurotransmitters in the brain. One cannot have a balanced chemical system in the brain without the nutrients to build it!! A quality brain comes from quality care just like anything else in life.
Sleep, also, an important part of our existance to rebuild body and brain.....but natural sleep, not alcohol or sedative induced is best even if you don't get a full night(but try to allow for it at least). Some counseling might be in order, but if you really try to eat nutritionally and exercise you might find a world of difference in the way you feel, sleep and behave. Centrum is ok but I would suggest finding some whole food supplements if possible (they are usually in health food stores) and also add some sort of omega 3 supplements(flax oil, flax seed, fish oil, etc.)...you can also get alot of omega 3's from eating salmon, walnuts and cottage cheese. ihaveverything 06-14-2006, 10:59 AM

oh well there you go thyroid problems do make a huge difference. That is a key component and as you age the thyroid changes. So you may need some medication for that thyroid. But try and relax and take good care of yourself.

Hyperthyroid? Oh, yeah, strongernow is right, perhaps you should do something about that. Alot of thyroid conditions can cause panic. Also avoid any adrenaline antagonists like caffeine.
I don't know a whole lot about thyroid except reading once that iodine and potassium are really important for it's function.... sea salt and bannanas basically (among other things). Maybe you could look into some natural supplements or foods first to regulate it, if those don't work then maybe a visit to a doctor for it. My mother-in-law had a life threatening potassium deficiency and the doctor told her she needed at least one glass of orange juice a day. It's amazing how a simple habit like that really helped her. Look on the internet for ways to help your thyroid through good diet and food. If that doesn't help after awhile you might really need to see a doctor about it. |
