I got my HcG shot 2 weeks ago today, followed by back-to-back IUIs on Friday and Saturday. I have been feeling crampy and bloated since Monday and my boobs are so sore. I feel sure AF is on her way (was due yesterday.) I am also on progesterone suppositories, which the RE said can delay my period and make me feel bloated. I feel like a big fat whale. Anyway, I just did a home PG (One Step) test to confirm I wasn't pregnant so I could have a drink tonight (!) and I got an immediate BFP. Could the HcG be still in my system? I am booked for a blood test on Monday. Please help.

I don't think it's still in your system. I think it's pretty much out after 10 days. With my last IVF, my BETA was on the 11th day after my transfer which was 5 days before my HCG shot. I would say a congrats is in order!! :bouncing: Good luck to you and keep us posted!!

I would also say congrats!! I was so concerned about the same thing when I was PG in January. I called my nurse right away at home (it was a Sunday) and asked her if it was for real and she said as long as I waited the 2 weeks after the shot, it was very unlikely to still be in my system. Unfortunately mine ended up being a tubal pregnancy so we are back to TTC, this is actually the first cycle I have done since and I am pretty excited to see if it worked. We are doing Clomid, Follistim, HCG shot and IUI. Keep us posted!! Again, congrats!!!

I think Jayme and KM are both right in congratulating you. The HCG should be gone after 10 days - so I don't think that is giving you a false BFP. Congratulations! More hope for all of us here!!!
Sticky dust to you!

So Cuzmonkey, I am going crazy waiting to hear your update (as I'm sure others are too) :dizzy: I personally am new to all of this (TTC for over 3 years, but all natural) we are just now going through all the testing & haven't tried any medications or procedures, so I don't know how long it will take for your results. When will you know if you are pg or not? Wishing you all the best!!!

Cuzmonkey,
I must concur with all of the other ladies who have replied. My RE also told me the HCG shot should be out of the system 10 days after you get the shot! I hope you get the "BIG BIG BFP" (bloodwork!). I will be prayin' for ya! Keep us posted...and good luck!

Isn't funny how we hate to hear our friends or colleagues turn up pg, but if it's "one of us," then it's great news?? It gives us hope, doesn't it?
