Hi All-
I was wondering... if you have normal AF's (bet 28-32 days) and they last about 5-6 days, I assumed that meant you ovulate too???
Would I be having normal cycles but could possilby not be ovulating?

Yes, you can have normal cycles and not ovulate. Do some research 'cause I know there are ways, like charting your temp, that you can pretty much figure out when and if you're ovulating. I might be wrong but I think the only way that you can know FOR SURE is if you have an ultrasound. But I could be wrong about that. We went right to clomid so I never had to figure out if I ovulated or not so I might be completely wrong. I do, however, know that a normal cycle does not guarantee ovulation.

i have fairly regular cycles but tests last year showed that i wasnt ovulating. they normally start by doing 21 day progesterone blood tests which is how they found out with me.
charting your temp is supposed to be one of the best ways to get an indication of ovulation, so try that if havent already
good luck

What do the doctors do when they find out you are not ovulating?

I suppose it depends if you are producing any follicles to release. So, it could be that a woman doesn't have enough hormones to produce a viable egg each cycle, or that it isn't being released. A doctor who is experienced in this area can do b/w and u/s to detect this. Have you seen a doc yet? How long have you been trying?
