I'm still kinda new here and have not seen much about alternative therapies for cancer. There is a new book out called "Killing Your Cancer Without Killing Yourself". It is by Dr. Allen Chips who had Hodkins. He tried one chemo treatment and had some terrible reactions to it, to the point where he refused any more chemo. He found a clinic in Mexico called the Bio Medical Clinic using the Hoxsey herbal tonic, diet, herbs, and they have regular oncologists and other modern equipment as well as the alternative therapy. The book can be purchased at the [ REMOVED ] number [ REMOVED ]. It is around $40.00 with shipping.
After I finish my 12 rounds of chemo, I'm definitely going to go on the anticancer diet.
The main things to give up are pork, tomatoes, vinegar, white processed flour, refined sugar and several preseratives. The idea is to get the body to an alkaline state instead of an acid state.
Dr. Chips had his cancer in 2003 and now 3 yrs later he is cancer free.

I don't think that discussing alternatives to main stream treatments is neccessarily a bad thing unless someone is pushing people to reject completely the mainstream, clinically tested treatments. At that point it becomes akin to religious fevor.

Personally I don't see any harm in following any treatment that obviously can do no harm. The diet you mention would be one of those. As long as one continues to get all the nutrition one needs you are not harming yourself by cutting out some foods from your intake.

I could cut out white flour and white sugar and I already try to limit the foods preservative intake. However I love tomatoes, I love Ceasar salad(red wine vinegar) and I really like ham and pork. I also really like bacon but I have cut wayyy back on that since it has a lot of nitrates in it. One article I read said to boil bacon for 1 minute and then fry it. It is supposed to remove a lot of salt and nitrates. I tried it,,,,,,,,,,bleaahhhh , its not the same and besides it takes more time.

Then there is the idea that keeping your urine acidic can reduce bladder infections and cancers.
