I'M NEW TO THIS BOARD. BACKGROUND INFO:I AM ALMOST 28, DH 36 HAS VERY LOW SPERM CT. WE DID 1 IVF/ICSI/AH CYCLE AND HAVE B/G TWINS,21/2 WE DID A FET A YEAR AGO THAT ENDED IN MISC. AND NO EMBIES LEFT! THIS IVF/ICSI/AH AND FET/AH COST US $58,000. SO HUSBAND NOT ON BOARD FOR SECOND TRY! WE WOULD LOVE TO TRY AN IUI WITH OVERIAN STIMULATION, BUT SPERM COUNTS HAVE BEEN .6mil, 0, 4mil. ALLTHOUGH MOTILITY IS 80% AND 75% AFTER 1 HOUR. AND MORP. IS 30% AND VOLUME IS 4.5mil! TESTOSTERONE CAME JUST UNDER NORMAL RANGE. WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF AN STIMULATED IUI WORKING OUT FOR US? ANY CHANCE AT ALL? THE IUI AND ALL INVOLVED WOULD ONLY COST AROUND $400 max. ANYONE IN A SIMILAR SITUATION? THANK YOU ALL FOR READING EANDJ

I just finished with (2nd) round of IUI and my RE was expalining that they consider 8 million to be a normal number..You really arent all that far off. I would definitely speak to my RE if I were you. Good Luck!

Well if the doc said there was even a remote chance $400 sounds a lot better than $58,000. I mean you do have 2 angels so you are lucky that your first IVF worked but if there is not an option to do another round of IVF due to funds why not give it a shot. My neighbors did 2 IUI's before going to IVF with ICSI. MY point is her husband had 2 million sperm they got pg by themselves once but it was tubal and had to have that tube removed then got pg with IUI and got another tubal and had that one removed bless her heart. But she then got pg with IVF/ICSI and conceived her 2 little babies boy and girl. So hey there is hope if it is just male having not so great sperm, especially if the doc says it is not completely hopeless! Good Luck let us know!
