Can someone tell me if beta blocker lessens the symptoms of angina or completely disguise it? I notice that if I forget to take my beta blocker, my angina seems to be worse than normal.

Bibi,

Beta-blockers are the treatment of choice for symptoms of angina. Thus if you forget a dose, your angina will be at its worst.

Workbea, yes I have the angina when I walk after about 3 minutes and then it subsides after 15 minutes or so. I take atenolol 50 mgs. once a day. I'm try ing to decide on whether I should have an angiogram or not.
