:wave: Hello Ladies... just a quick question. Does anyone know in what part of the body one would receive a shot of progesterone??? I'm just curious because I'm getting a shot on Mon.

A progestrone shot is intramuscular so they give 'em in the spot with the most muscle. They say it's your hip but it's actually your butt. :) Not too pleasant. I've been on progestrone in oil injections everyday for almost a month and I've found a few tricks to make it less painful.... focus on something else (I have a baby name book and I try to find the most outrageous names I can while my husband is giving it) and put all your body weight on the oposite side they are giving the shot. Try not to tense 'cause that makes it more sore afterwards. And the nurse who gives it to you will probably do this but if she doesn't do it yourself... massage the area to disperse the meds, if you don't I've found that I get a painful knot under the skin.

Thank you sooooooo much for the advice. I was sick last yr and received a shot of penicillin in my butt, ouch, but I found that it hurt less when they did it slowly as opposed to really quick. We'll see what happens. Thanks again!! :angel:
