I went to the doctors several times for this: gas, stomach cramps, constipation, diarrhea, upset stomach when eating, upset stomach with empty stomach, nausea, vomitting, starving feeling even while eating or after eating heavy meal. All they keep telling me is that this is IBS. I just think that is the excuse they are using b/c they really don't know what it is. Does anyone else suffer from these symptoms? If so, do you know anything I can do to cure most if not some of them?

Hi There,

i am in exactly the same situation as you. I have had all your symptoms for the past 14 years and not 1 doctor has ever done any tests on me! I keep asking and they just make me feel neurotic. If it is IBS that we are suffering from I am angry that doctors don't seem to know as much as the people on websites like this! A doctor let slip to me a month ago that if they can't think of what your stomach problems could be that it is diagnosed as IBS! I was furious about this. I don't know whether you are from the UK or not but I find because we do not generally have private medical care that you feel abliged to accept what your GP says.
I sincerly hope you fell better soon I mayself have just had the worst 2 week episode of my life and have felt very alone.
Keep your chin up!

Katiex
