I am wondering if anyone has had success using herbs, vitamins, etc... to relieve the symptoms of perimenopause.
I feel like it's too soon for HRT or anything like that, and am hoping to find some relief naturally.
Thanks.

Hi:
I do find that taking a B supplement, flax seed oil, Omega 3's and magnesium do help with the daily symptoms. I seem to have less anxiety and depression. I have tried some things like Sedatyl for stress and I'm not sure they do much.

I will share with you what I'm doing for my peri symptoms. Whether it works or not - I'm doing okay - I don't know what I'd feel like without. I, too, prefer to try something natural before turning to hormome treatment. Here is my herbal cocktail: I take MenoPoise (black cohash and soy), Women's Ultra Mega Bone Density dietary supplement (a multi-vitamin), and St. John's Wort (for mood balance). My husband takes fish oil which has significantly lowered his cholesterol and triglycerides, and I read on this website that it can help peri symptoms, so I've just recently added fish oil to my herbal cocktail. I buy all this from GNC. Also, I take ibuprofen as needed for inflammation and aches and pains. My Gyne supports me in this. As I said, I'm doing okay, and I'm looking forward to the "pause" around the corner. Good luck!

I've been taking Black Cohosh for 3-4 weeks now. My hot flashes have almost disappeared. I'm totally amazed! :) :) :) :) I was having at least 20 flashes a day. Today I had a "mini-flash". I hope this isn't a temporary thing.
Best of Luck!

Looks like I am going to add the Black Cohosh to my herbal cocktail too. Thank you!
