I guess from all the posts that I've been reading that I have LPR.
Does anyone ever feel like the food is stuck in their throat and won't go down.
I can't eat really solid food like a steak or a hamburger without feeling like it is stuck even hours after I have eaten.
I am basically on a soft food diet and liquids.
I am constantly burping with no relief. My stomach bloats up when even I eat the smallest amount of food.
In the back of my throat and in the bottom of my throat at the top of my esophagus if feels dry, scratchy like there is something stuck there. It even feels like its in my ears sometimes.
I've had an endoscopy done a little over a year ago and a colonoscopy. The only thing came back was mild colitis. I also had an ultrasound done and my gallbladder couldn't be found. My gastro doc says either I was born without one which is very rare or it is contracted up under another organ like my liver and couldnt be seen. I go back to see him in a couple of weeks and I think hes going to want a hida scan and I'm going to ask for another endoscopy to possibly stretch my esophagus to see if that will help.
What is most baffling is my symptoms came on no where out of the blue. Its been about 2 years now and I never had any problems before the night it started. I was just sitting eating a salad and I suddenly bloated up so big and huge and the throat symptoms and everything started out of nowhere and I haven't had relief since. The first 3 months of my symptoms I lost close to if not over 100 pounds because I couldnt eat without feeling like I was going to choke. Either the food wouldn't go down or it would just sit at the top of my stomach for hours and wouldn't digest.
When I bloat up the worst bloating is over on my right side under my ribs.
I'm wondering if this is all gallbladder related?
Please post your experiences and symptoms. I would feel much better hearing from others with like symptoms and what you have found out.
