I have a 15 yr old child and in January this year she had her ears pinned back and ever since her ears have been very very waxy. She has had no problems with her ears at all. Recently she went deaf and the doctor said she needs her ears srynged as they are full of wax, well now we have the problem that in 6 days we are going on an aeroplane for an 8 and a half hour flight, we have never flown before, will this affect her because her ears a so waxy. I am wondering if i should run and get her ears sryinged quickly this week but the nurse said she would need at least 5 days of putting oil down her ears before she would sryinge them so there is no time for this. Will it hurt her ears when we take off because of the wax or will waxy ears make no difference at all. As it is our first flight i feel i need to be prepared if she starts to feel pain as she will get panicked.
