i know the best way to increase protein intake is by having little and often, with the best amount to take in in one go being 30 grams. but how long should you leave before having more protein? 2 hours? 3 hours? i guess the time might depend too on whether the protein comes from liquid or soild food (liquid stays in the stomach a shorter period than solid). any ideas?

I would say 2 hours is the minimum gap you should leave between taking protein. People say you should try and eat 6 times a day if you're weight training, so every 2-2.5 hours works out about right for 6 meals a day.

if you had 6x30g protein, that would be 180g which is a reasonable amount, depending on your bodyweight.
