I've a problem with gas buildup whenever I'm in a social situation. My damn stomach or whatever it is starts making noises. Usually it's worse when it's really quiet during exam time and when there are lots of people there. It didn't used to be like this...I think it started when I was 13 or so.
I should mention that I'm lactose intolerant and I avoid milk as much as possible. Is my lack of calcium intake the problem?
I don't take drugs or anything like that...I never have. Should I start taking them to fix my damn problem? What's wrong with me? Is there anybody else who's messed up like me?

Avoid dairy, gluten, carbonated drinks. Eat small meals throughout the day. Drink lots of water. A plain bland healthy diet might help. Exercise. Try to help your anxiety. Does this happen ONLY in social situations?

It does.
My brain is such a mess.
But, thanks for the tips.

Try to listen to meditation/relaxation tapes.

I hear ya! My bowels prefer bookstores for some reason, I just can't go into one without suddenly needing to go relieve myself! It used to really stress me out, but I just learnt to laugh it off ... because the more you worry about these things, the more they happen!

Also good advice above about what to avoid ... carbonated beverages are a big one with me ... and popcorn!
