Has anyone here heard of Tovaxin? It's a type of MS vaccine that works in the same way as the flu vaccine. It's made by a company called Pharma Frontiers and it's currently in Phase II clinical trials. It looks extremely promising. Just wanted to give a heads up in case there are people here who haven't heard of it.

Hi,
Haven't heard a word. You would think that my doctor would have mentioned it. I'll look it up right now and try to find out everything I can. Thanks for the heads up. Good luck to you. Kathy

Hi again,
I just looked up Tovaxin. It's really exciting. :bouncing: I'm going to call my doc tomorrow and see what she has to say. I can't thank you enough for letting us know. If you haven't already just google the word Tovaxin, you get sooo much info. Have a great day. Hope you are well. :)

problem is that most "vaccines" are not effective if you already have a disease. An example is the HPV vaccine that just got approved for cervical cancer... you need to get it when you're 9... and if you've had any form of cervical cancer it will not work, and if you've ever had intercourse, they say it probably won't even be effective for you. It's great that they have it, but unfortunately for those dx... it's too little too late. Also since they don't know the cause of MS, I have my doubts as to a vaccine for it. Sounds a bit hoaky to me.

This vaccine is not designed to prevent MS, it is designed to treat it once the disease has started. Unfortunately, there seems to be some controversy about the treatment...some people are saying that there's a lot of fabrication going on, others are saying it's legit... it's hard to know what to believe.
