Definition in muscle simply means that the muscle is visible because very little fat is covering it. You can lift weights all day long and develop some nice muscle mass but if the muscles are covered with a thick layer of fat, you won't see any definition. So, if you are lifting heavy enough and have build up your muscles but still fail to see the "definition", it's time for some serious diet re-evaluation.

protein! a lean protein with each meal. i eat one gram per 1lb of body weight. (assuming you aren't over weight).

cardio and diet to lower your body fat.

lift, do not overlift. make sureyou are lifting heavy enough.
thats pretty much it in a nutshell.
