View Full Version : Transfer is Thursday...letting fate decide!

So, Thursday is my frozen transfer. :bouncing: They are putting back 2 grade "b" embies that area already at blast stage. I am getting excited and feeling more hopeful everyday.
And here's just a little story I wanted to share: My best friend's husband and their baby came over yesterday and of course, I kept thinking how badly I wanted to have a baby of my own. Then, later that night I had a revelation of fate. You see, my best friend married my husband's best friend. (We each grew up together.) We were engaged 2 months apart and married 2 weeks apart! My husband and his best friend are a year and 3 months apart...exactly the same amount of time that my friend's son and my future baby will be apart, if this next cycle works out!! Isn't that a bit odd? I think I'm letting fate decide this one. And, we used to joke that we would have a daughter and they would have a son, and then eventually, b/c we are all so close, they would be best friends first, then sweethearts, then they would marry! :D Well, I'm getting ahead of myself and being totally silly but, who knows!!! ;)

How exciting, I wish you all the luck in the world. What did they have you do to get ready for this transfer? I mean do you take any injections? Like the Lupron to supress ovulation? Not really to sure how all that works with FET. We are going to do our 2nd fresh cycle I start the injections well I guess mid July for a week of the August 14th retrieval (crossing our fingers), but if that does not work hopefully this go around we will have some to freeze. All the info you can give would be great. I have my fingers crossed for you!!!!

:D Ladies, thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I haven't been able to check this site in a few days b/c my computer crashed! But, what a sweet surprise to come back and find all this support! I can't even tell you how much that means!! And, with all the love and good wishes, (and all the extra hormones pumping through my body), I think I might just cry!! I will keep you all posted!!
waiting4baby, it has been way less stressful this time around. The only thing I've been on is estrogen patches. I have to wear 2 and change them every other day. I was told this would suppress me, but I have heard of other women being suppressed even more during FETs~taking BCPs and Lupron. But, luckily this cycle was very short and sweet for me. For 3 days now, I've also been taking the progesterone in oil shots in the buttocks to get ready for the transfer...not fun! Anyway, I am feeling pretty tired and irritable still...and starting to get other symptoms like sore boobs and nausia (mostly from the pre-natal vits, but the PIO shots don't help the matter any). My biggest concern is that the 2 may not thaw, and since I only have 2, that's a HUGE deal! They are putting both of them back and since they are at blast stage, my pg test is only 9 days later!! Good luck to you with your upcoming cycle!
