View Full Version : When it rains, it Pours!

Okay, so I really need to vent a little. I know that we all have so much going on in our lives, and often times it is very overwhelming. I think sometimes it helps to vent a little to friends, and then it can help us to let go of some of the anger/resentment and move on. So here goes:

Since March things seem to be going down hill:

-My 6 year old was diagnosed with PDD-NOS.
-My 1 year old was diagnosed with PDD-NOS.
-My 7 year old is being evaluated for ADHD and learning diabilities.
-My wallet was stolen out of my shopping cart. Which had cash and the social security numbers of all my family members in it.
-A construction company working on our street hit a gas line in front of my house. (Thank God, everyone in the neighborhood stayed safe)
-I got in a car accident (my fault), so up goes the insurance!
-My basement got flooded in the recent Northeast rain storms. Completely flooded! We tried to dry it out, but developed a huge mold problem anyway. The mold was so bad that we had to move out of our house for over a week.
-Because of the mold, we had to tear out our finished basement, down to the studs. Bye-bye sheetrock, bye-bye wood floor, and bye-bye to $1,000's of dollars of furniture, rugs, etc.
-So when I said, "when it rains, it pours," I was not joking. Because once we finally dried out from the above storms, the Northeast got another week of rain and my basement is now flooded again. Which is very frustrating. If I wanted a house with a swimming pool, I would have bought one that way.

Anyway, thanks for listsening to me vent. Now that I got it all out, I feel better. In fact, seeing it all in writing, it does not seem so bad anymore. If anyone else feels like they have had a black cloud over their head recently, please feel free to vent here. Every now and then we all need a chance to complain a little bit.

Thanks again,
Steph

I do know about multiple problems, I found out my son was autistic when I was pregnant with #3, which took me by surprise for we already had children with a pollycystic kidneys! No way can one family have two problems. :blob_fire :dizzy: Well I guess th best thing to look at is we are all doing OK today in this moment.

This is one of my favorite little sayings:

"Don't worry about the world coming to an end today, it's already tomorrow in Australia"

Hope things can "dry" out for you soon. I know how hard it is to be positive in the midst of chaos. We're always here to vent to!
