I was told I have diminished opening of the aortic valve. anyone else have this? How serious is it?

As one ages there usually is some calification of the AV. The seriousness depends on the degree of stenosis. If moderate to severe there will be some restriction on the amount of blood getting into circulation with each heartbeat. This condition will require the heart to work harder and over a period of time the heart will begin to fail.
Mine is 2.0 cm and report comments this reveals mild annular calcification. Although blood into circulation is compromised somewhat it is not considered a problem but should be watched. Is your measurement smaller?
