I've had my wife in the emergency room twice in a weeks time and just got home from the Dr.'s office a short time ago. She's missed work I've missed work and she's miserable. Everyone says it's inner ear problem, she's dizzy throwing up, just feels awful. Can this be cured?

Not that im aware of. i just went through the same thing. ER visits for dizziness. they say my inner ear as well. they ran all kinds of tests on my heart and they did a ct scan also.

If you go to the inner ear board maybe they can help. She needs to try to stay active ITS HARD! ive been this way for a week now and it kinda feels like im adjusting to it or its going away. has she been sick at all lately? any TMJ? Theres a lot of things that cause it but its good to rule out any serious things. I feel bad for her i know whats it like. Hope she gets better soon. Shes lucky to have you being so understandable and helping her out. this is awful to go through.

I had three bouts of this and it wasn't until the 3rd bout that my GP suggested I see an ENT. The first diagnosis was a sub-acute viral inner ear infection, then vestibular neuritis, then possibly meniere's disease. Then they did a full battery of audiological and blood work and have seemed to settle on autoimmune inner ear disease as I tested positive on the lab work. Rare disease they say. I would get wife to an ENT who is willing to start from scratch and possibly work with a neurologist also. I am seeing my neurologist today to see where we go from here.

Good luck, to wife and you!
