I wanted to take sometime to thank all the folks on this page. You have really helped me out. I am full of energy when I come home from work and read a lot of the threads and look absolutley forward to reading threads from people both Pos and Negative. Truth be told though, I am havin a really rough time with all of this. I read the folks posts about what ifs and think back to when I was in the same boat. Well, my boat was sunk like the Titanic when I learned the truth. But, the ship doesn't have to sink, I have some great counselors to include my Pastor in my endeavors and it has helped alot. A person needs to look past the past and know there is a great life on the horizon despite your prognosis if your Pos or Negative. My advice to folks posting on this page is to go and get tested because it will give you peace of mind. Funny how it may sound, but, I was happy when I was told I was Pos. It was a weight lifted off my shoulders and now I can deal with what lies ahead and I have had great support from my family.
I have many friends who work in the medical field and they deal day in and day out with people who are less fortunate than I, Cancer Heart Disease etc... I have life, I have friends and I have this support group of people on this site. Have I had bad days, YES, but, I have also come to the understanding I have a manageable disease that is manageable because I took the steps to get tested. Someone posted on this site that HIV has become like Diabetes, it is manageable. I will have tough days ahead of me, but, I needed to take the time to thank the folks who support this page. If your Negative than you are doing great,if you are Pos you are still doing great and you should believe that. But the first step is with you if you are posting here to take those steps and get tested and stop the What ifs and quit reading the other internet sites on symptoms. If you haven't noticed from my last threads, I am a pretty Dramatic person, but, hey thats me. I appreciate people who take the time to reply to people in times of need. Anyways, thats my drama line, I'll stop for now. But thankyou, especially to folks like CFLAS and Lost Spirit. I'm out gotta be up for work in 12 hours for another neautiful day-C
