View Full Version : What can I do about this

I have just started an exercise program and I have my meal about 2hrs before starting the program and each time I have to stop because I feel like I am going to be sick and that I have eaten a huge meal and am feeling really full. My stomach is ice cold where as the rest of my body is warm. I have swapped both my breakfast to have after my training and the snack before (banana and orange for example) but the same problem happens. I also feel like I have drunken way to much water, where I have only had one or two mouthfuls. Can anyone help me with this. I have heard of slow digestion but surely after 2hrs my body would be converting what I have eaten to energy and my stomach would be warm to the touch.
Thanks

It is normally recommended that you leave about 3 hours after eating a meal and starting to exercise. I have always done that myself and will tend to leave at least 3 hours or longer. I find that for me, 2 hours is just not enough. Everyone is different though, but try and extra hour and see if that makes any difference. People have different gastric emptying rates and yours may need more than 2 hours.
