Well, I am glad that you are feeling better. It gives me hope!! I have a prescription for Protonix so I changed it Saturday. The headaches aren't as bad as with the aciphex and I think it is working better. I actually ate some beef and pork this weekend and I did okay. Although, I really wanted some of the BBQ ribs that everyone was eating. It is just not worth the pain!! I really envy your coffee drinking! Maybe that was part of my problem. 2-3 cup a day habit is hard to break. I actually stopped taking the digestive enzymes and I think I am doing okay. I still suspect that something is going on with my gall bladder. I cannot sleep on the right side because it makes me really nauseous. Hopefully I'll be able to talk to my doctor today. We'll see...

I hope the protonix helps. I think a lot of people give up to quickly on these meds. The protonix actually made me worse before it made me "Better"!
My GI told me this as well. I was in bed for days and not eating. I Finally nursed myself back slowly and like I said, by the end of the second week, going into third, I was MUCH better. Give it time. Time is the important factor. Did you have the hida-scan for the gallbladder? I think the coffee in the begining did it for me as well. I was drinking a pot a day. Never had problems until the coffee started. You must remeber though. I've been like this for TWO years. It took a LONG time to get to where I'm at today. If you do everything correctly, you too will get there. I juiced and drink smoothies forever as my source of food in the begining. I really took care of myself. After a WHILE, I started introducing the bigger things. You'll get there. It all depends on you ;-)
Hey, let me know what your doctor says. Good luck-
