Whenever i go out i hate touching things. Things like shop door handles, stair railings, money, cash machine buttons and well basically anything people have touched.
I usually take tissues with me and use those to open doors with.
I recently went on holiday and i really had a hard time because i think too much about what smelly people have been in that bed and their smelly feet have stood in the shower!
I have no problem at home because i know who has been touching the door handles and things.

Is anybody else like this?

oh yea...I don't want to touch anything.....grocery carts, doorknobs, buttons in elevators. I carry wet wipes in my purse to wipe the germs off my hands.
It's a symptom of OCD.

Yeah supermarket trollies.. ugh

Ok thanks for replies. Its only really got this bad in the last few years. Maybe it has devolped as i get older because i remember as a child going round friends houses after school for dinner, i used to hate eating of their plates.
Me and my boyfriend had a huuuuge argument because while on holiday, i took my own pillow, and he accidently dropped it on the floor and i went mad at him and i turned the pillowcase inside out. He thinks im mad!

I too am obsessed about germs, any mentioned previously about being in public, like doors, money, banking machines, etc. But I also obsess about cleanliness in the washroom. I have young children and I feel like they are not getting clean enough after using the bathroom. When I change my baby I wash my hands probably 4-5 times, like after I change the diaper, before I dress him, then if he puts his hands in it I have to clean his hands and then mine again, it is quite a process. But I can control them so it is OK, but if I am with other people who don't wash up I am scrutinizing them to make sure it is clean and if they are in my home I am paranoid that everything is getting dirty. I need help as it is taking over my life. I am being treated for Anxiety but I still feel that I am out of control. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
