When did your baby roll over? DS has been rolling over since a few days before he turned 2 months old! He rolls over from front to back. He has been doing it now for a couple of weeks! This seems really early for that!

That is really fast I would think. My DS is a little over 12 weeks and has not even tried to roll over. Did you put him on the floor alot?

We have not done a lot of tummy time because he hasn't liked it. He is starting to tolerate tummy time a little more now. So no, he isn't on the floor a lot. He is actually held a lot because that is what he likes best. We noticed him roll over for the first times while he was swaddled and laying on his stomach. (He sleeps on his stomach.) I thought maybe it was a fluke but he kept doing it. So then I thought maybe swaddling helps him roll over even though it seems like it would make it harder. But...he is actually rolling over even without being swaddled. So he truly is rolling over at 2 months.

While this is a huge milestone especially so early, now he is rolling over when is is supposed to be going to sleep so then he gets upset because he isn't in his sleep position. But I am amzed at how fast he rolled over! Especially without much tummy time!

Hi Laura,
It does seem a bit early but my DD is doing just the same! I thought it was too early for a lot of things shes done so far. She rolls over and just yesterday she started trying to pick herself up from laying down on her back. She wants to sit up on her own, poor thing weighs quite a bit so she just nose dives straight down!! My daughter never really had any tummy time until just recently when she can tolerate it for a few minutes a day. She is also already teething and we can feel a tiny little tooth on top! Babies develop at different rates and it looks like ours are just a little early! Take care

ds did this 4 times in his 13th week. but since having his jabs on friday is tetchy about going on his tummy. my ds prefers to stand i have even had to buy a baby walker so he can stand up and look round, obviously he can't walk in it at 14 weeks lol. he also loves the door bouncer and loves being held so he can practice his walking, he can't wait to go lol.

My ds is 14 weeks and just started to try and roll to his side. He's trying so hard to get there. I figure he'll be on his belly in the next few weeks. He doesn't mind tummy time, he can keep his head lifted straight up for a long period of time so he doesn't get as frustrated as he use too! My niece just rolled to her tummy last week (after trying tons of times, she couldn't figure out how to get her arm out from underneath her lol) and she's almost 5 months.
