My tooth hurts everytime I eat something, when I eat something, my tooth stings...maybe it is a cavity?

If it hurts when you chew on something but then goes away after you stop it could be a cracked tooth. But it could be something as simple as a cavity. Generally a sharp pain while chewing means a cracked tooth.

I went to dentist this morning and felt no pain but the dentist thinks the reason my tooth is hurting is because of a imaffition of the gums
