I have an appointment with a gynecologist on the 28th. It will be my first appointment since my hysterectomy with a gynecologist since 2000. I've taken Estratest since, and have gained 18 pounds since the surgery. :( Ugh! The med has helped but I am reluctant to stay on it due to the med gain. Anyone else gain weight on it? Maybe it is another med gain that I have gained from, and it is not the Estratest as I take other meds....but this one is not the weight neutral and most of the others are.
Any suggestions or advice? Please help.

I wish I knew the answer. I was gaining alittle before starting the pill in Feb., now it seems like I am gaining a pound aday! I am trying to exercise more and watch my calories, but nothing is working. Please let me know if you find the answer. I really think the hormone replacements are causing some of the gain, but also it could be just this time of our lifes too. Ann

My mother was on HRT for over 20 years. She just stopped taking it at age 76! She too had a hysterectomy. She maintained her figure by going on Weight Watchers and exercise. Once off of the Weight Watchers she would cut back on bread and starches to maintain her weight.

I also had hysterectomy years ago, leaving the ovaries. I have been on Premarin for about 9 months now and have gained 20 pounds and can't seem to take it off. Very frustrating.
