Hello! I'm bothered with this situation. :confused:

My uterus is retroverted. I am told that I am not capable of getting pregnant. Is this true? Is there anybody here who got pregnant with retroverted uterus?

I read something on a reputable website about that, that it does NOT mean you can't get pregnant. But I would consult with a fertility expert if you have questions or concerns, or if you try for about one year to conceive with no luck.

I'm sure there are others with more information than myself.

I have a retroverted uterus, as well. I have been to 3 doctors/specialists while dealing with infertility and none of them think my retroverted uterus is an obstacle when trying to achieve pregnancy. It's not an issue at all. Although I do have other issues causing my infertility, my retroverted uterus is not one of them.

My doctor assures me that up to 25% of women have a uterus in this position and it is not an impedement for getting pregnant. Who told you this? I found this quote online:
"Remember that a tipped uterus in no way can hamper with your fertility or your chances of getting pregnant. Some women are born with their uterus tilted forward or backward. Often with a pregnancy and delivery of a baby, the uterus goes back to the normal position."

I also have a tilted uterus and was told by both of my doctors that it has no bearing on getting pregnant. They compared it to people being either left or right handed...tilted is like the left handed people:) 25% of woman have a tilted uterus. I also was pregnant so it is obviously able to happen. I am not sure who told you that you would not be able to get pregnant, but it is not true. I would discuss the issue with your doctor.
