Someone close to you is your better choice. I do not believe that it is a good thing to have something as important as implants done that far away from where you live. I live in Ohio and my Prosthodontist that did my implants is a 12 hour drive away and it was so very hard even that far away. Complications can happen and I was able to call them and they were able to call in prescriptions for me. A doctor over seas wouldn't have this access to call in prescriptions for you. I had my surgery then had to go back in 2 weeks for the stitches to be removed. Success of implants depend on the skill of the surgeon. How can you know for certain that the Doctor you choose has the skills needed for success? In the long run will you actually save money? Its expensive to go overseas and where will you stay? Who will then do your crowns?

Just too many possible complications to consider in such an important procedure.

Hi,

The US is the best place to have implants placed. [Removed] ...because the cost of implants here in the States is far less than there. The more important consideration is the followup and the restorative treatment (caps and dentures) that are needed in conjunction with the implants. It is far better to have good reliable doctors close to you who can maintain the health of your mouth and the implants that you have invested in.
