To start out, I've had pink eye many times before in the past but it has never been like this...

Yesterday I noticed about 4 or 5 very, very tiny bumps under my right eye. They were very painful when I closed my eyes, but they didn't really bother me otherwise and figured I'd wait to see if anything happened. Well, this morning I woke up and my eye was so swollen shut I could barely see out of, it was totally pink and gushing puss (i know gross, sorry) and the little bumps that were under my eye are still there and hurt 10 times worse. It almost looks like scabbed over. I went to my Dr and he asked what I was there for, I told him I thought I had pink eye and he looked at it for not even 2 seconds wrote me a scipt for some eyedrops I have to take every 2 hours then sent me on my way. He didn't closley examine it with a scope or anything. Does this sound like pink eye to anyone else? Usually when I've had it, it's been red and itchy, and has a little puss sometimes, but the fact that it's soooo swollen makes me think otherwise. Plus usually it's just itchy and annoying but this is actually extremley painful.

Any and all help would be great because I'm in a lot of pain and these drops don't seem to be working!!

What kind of doctor did you see? If it wasn't an eye doctor, I'd go see one.
