View Full Version : Are these signs of anything else?

I'd say since high school I've had these exact same symptoms.

I constantly have to pee. I probably pee around 30 times a day.
I guess this could be from the fact I drink allot. I probably drink 200 oz of liquid a day. I do this because I am constantly thirsty. It's not like I'm in the dessert and have to have something to drink or die, but I'm always read to drink something. My lips get very dry unless I do chapstick constantly. Over the last year I've experienced hair loss. After eating I get tired. Not super tired, but like I want to take a nap. I've have blood tests before, and I've asked on numerous occassions if I could have diabetes, and each time they tell me it's fine.

What else could this be? thanks

Does your doctor accept this as normal? Have you seen any of your blood glucose readings to assure yourself that they really are in the normal range. There are probably numerous things that could be related to this but only one comes to mind right off. It is diabetes insipidus and it is not easy to diagnose it. It is an endocrine disorder that has to do with the body's diuretic function. "Average urine volume for a normal adult is 1.5 liters daily. In diabetes insipidus, the urine volume can approach 18 liters daily!" from Medicine net. It has nothing to do with blood glucose. It is a little known disease but your browser should find it or go to Medicine Net to see what they say.
Best to you.

There's a condition called diabetes incipitus, which causes extreme thirst but does not raise blood sugar levels as diabetes mellitus does (diabetes mellitus is the more common type of diabetes.)

Unfortunately, I don't know too much about diabetes incipitus, but I'm sure you can do a search and find some info on the internet.
