about 3 weeks ago cheated on my girlfriend and slept (used protection) with a prostitute. about a week and a half later at night i became very flushed, my chest and face was red and botchy under the skin. there after the following symptoms occurred.
1. Swollen glands round neck and groin
2. Flushed face\red blotches
3 body aches and pains
4. Abdominal pain
5. Exhaustion
6. no appetiate

these are still persistent but not as bad this morning, but its now been three weeks. My worry is that i have the above symptoms but no repertory problems, my nose, chest and throat are fine. More importantly 5 days ago my girlfriend calls me and tells me that she has unexplained swollen glands, flushed face and body aches.

Im feeling an enormous sense of guilt and anxiety at the moment. i had my self tested after 2.5 weeks (bout 3 days after my first symptoms and i was negative.

i am scared of what is happening and what to do?

There is nothing to do. YOu had protected sex with someone and, therefore, protected (condom?) sex is 'safe sex' and you cannot contact HIV through that kind of contact.

Your symptoms are certainly related to your guilt and anxiety. Reduce those and you will, systematically, reduce those symptoms. chris

It could be something totally unrelated to HIV. Best to follow up with your GP.
