DS is 7 months old and started scooting 2 weeks ago. I say scooting because he doesn't really crawl on his hands and knees. He does the hands and knees, then the hands and feet. I think maybe its too uncomfortable on his knees.

Anyway, he gets around and into everything. Yesterday he figured out how to pull himself up and all hell broke loose! I can't get him to sleep for his naps. I usually feed him in bed and leave when he's out. If I lay him on the bed, he stops eating, rolls over, and starts to play. He is so hyper now it takes forever to get him to sleep. I just got him to sleep (its 10pm) and it was a fight! His eyes were so red all day, but nothing I did got him to sleep.

He's cutting 2 more teeth (on top of the 7 he has) so that can't be helping. I do give him tylenol and he's not crying in pain so I know that's not the problem. Just thought I should mention it.

I did walk at 9 months, with him pulling himself up so soon I suspect he will do the same, but I am afraid all of this new activity is making him crazy. He cannot stop moving now. The world will never be the same! LOL

Roxy, sounds like he's doing pretty well! My DD was born a few days before yours and she has NO teeth! She is only scooting backwards right now and getting up on hands and knees. She's curious, too, so bedtime can be a little more difficult sometimes.

Its been a while since I've checked the thread. DS has me on the move! He is crawling "normally" now and man can he go! I blink and he's gone. He just cut another tooth and he's cutting 2 molars. As my mom used to say "minda munda jemurunda". Whatever that means.

I still can't get him to sleep well. He only takes one nap during the day and its hard to get him down for it. Last night he was up until 1am, his nap was at 1pm. 12hours without sleeping. He was so tired his eyes were red and he had that over tired hyper thing going on. I busted out the video camera because he was being so goofy. Holding the pacifier in his mouth by the handle and grinning, screaming and laughing. It was so funny, exhausting, but funny.

Roxy- When the little ones are learning a new "trick" they tend to become obsessed with it, and it def. interferes with sleeping. Ds has done this with EVERYTHING!!! Turning over, crawling, standing, walking, clapping etc....... Teething also makes them a little on edge. It will pass, but then something else comes along!:)

Like high pitched screaming? He's loving that right now. I thought it was cute, now my head doesn't think so. :dizzy:
