View Full Version : bloody mucus

I've had the weekend from hell as far as my IBS goes. Horrible horrible cramps, like my intestines were twisting themselves into balls of knots. Intense left sided pain (where my pain is usually right sided). Felt like I had to have a BM, all that came out was mucus (this is after having D for most of the day).

Sorry for being graphic... this morning when I wiped, all that was on the toilet paper were clumps of bloody mucus.

I never had that before.... is that 'normal'? Is it something I should be worried about? All tests done in the last 3 years have been okay. Diagnosis is just severe IBS.

I should also mention that I've been taking Align for the past 4 weeks (good bacteria) and have felt 'sicker' for at least 3 weeks now, but was really trying to give the product a good 6 weeks to see a difference. Could that have something to do with it?

Thanks!

SB
