I have not been here in a while. I used to check back to see if anyone ever found out what causes or eases air hunger. That feeling that you need to gasp for air, yawn or cough to get a satisfying breath. I have to do it every several minutes or so. The more stressed I am, the harder it gets. No test ever came back to find anything wrong. I know other people have this. There must be some common cause. I have had this for at least 20 years now.

You probably have shallow breathing. I gasp for air maybe once every 6-7 hours. Please remember your gasps is your body getting more air for you. Are you stressed or have any anxiety?
